<FONT FACE="Garamond, serif"><FONT SIZE=3>Jesus came to return every
man to his family and every man to his possession as free souls under
His Father.<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote267anc" HREF="#sdfootnote267sym"><SUP>267</SUP></A>
That requires that we strive<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote268anc" HREF="#sdfootnote268sym"><SUP>268</SUP></A>
for and seek that kingdom, His righteousness, with our whole heart,
mind, and soul. </FONT></FONT>

<FONT FACE="Garamond, serif"><FONT SIZE=3>Jesus <I>called out</I> men
to feed His sheep, to serve them as He did.<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote269anc" HREF="#sdfootnote269sym"><SUP>269</SUP></A>
He appointed a kingdom to those men<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote270anc" HREF="#sdfootnote270sym"><SUP>270</SUP></A>
and told them to go out into the &ldquo;world&rdquo; and explain to
them the nature of the kingdom. He said those who have the ears to
hear and the eyes to see will know and follow in His Way.</FONT></FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY STYLE="text-indent: 0.25in; margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%">
<FONT FACE="Garamond, serif"><FONT SIZE=3>We are made in the image of
God, who is justice and mercy. Jesus told us if we loved Him we
should keep the commandments. We should love God, not merely an image
of God created by men. We are told to love our neighbor as our self.
Fulfilling this love of neighbor with justice and mercy is obeying
God. </FONT></FONT>
</P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY STYLE="text-indent: 0.25in; margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%">
<FONT FACE="Garamond, serif"><FONT SIZE=3>We are told to obey the
commandments if we love God and Jesus.<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote271anc" HREF="#sdfootnote271sym"><SUP>271</SUP></A>
We should not oppress, adulterate, deprive, lie, steal or covet.<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote272anc" HREF="#sdfootnote272sym"><SUP>272</SUP></A>
Systems like the Corban of the Pharisees made the word of God to none
effect.<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote273anc" HREF="#sdfootnote273sym"><SUP>273</SUP></A>
The Church is an alternative to that Corban which returned the people
to the bondage of Egypt. The Corban of the Pharisees had the nature
of the altars of the Nicolaitan and the error of Balaam which God
hates.<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote274anc" HREF="#sdfootnote274sym"><SUP>274</SUP></A>
It was system devoid of the free will choice given to man by God.
Those who followed its ways rejected the liberty wherewith Christ
hath made men free, and were soon entangled again with the yoke of
bondage.<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote275anc" HREF="#sdfootnote275sym"><SUP>275</SUP></A>

<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY STYLE="text-indent: 0.25in; margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%">
<FONT FACE="Garamond, serif"><FONT SIZE=3>The Greek word korban
[<FONT FACE="OLBGRK">korban</FONT><FONT FACE="Garamond, serif">] </FONT>is
defined as &ldquo;a gift offered (or to be offered) to God; the
sacred treasury.&rdquo; Matthew mentions Corban but the translators
turn the word into &ldquo;treasury&rdquo;.<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote276anc" HREF="#sdfootnote276sym"><SUP>276</SUP></A>
In the Hebrew the word qorban [<FONT FACE="OLBHEB">Nbrq] </FONT><FONT FACE="Garamond, serif">is
defined as an &ldquo; offering, oblation&rdquo; and translated as
&ldquo;</FONT>offering&rdquo; 68 times, &ldquo;oblation&rdquo; 12,
&ldquo;offered&rdquo; and &ldquo;sacrifice once each.</FONT></FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY STYLE="text-indent: 0.25in; margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%">
<FONT FACE="Garamond, serif"><FONT SIZE=3>How would a gift to God, a
sacrifice or oblation make the word of God to no effect? We see the
word qorban in Leviticus 22:18 where the house of Israel that their
oblation or sacrifices unto the LORD are to be &ldquo;freewill
offerings&rdquo;.</FONT></FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY STYLE="text-indent: 0.25in; margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%">
<FONT FACE="Garamond, serif"><FONT SIZE=3>The sacred temple of Rome,
called the Capitol, as well as other cultures had a similar system
called Qurban. The Pagan or Moslem<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote277anc" HREF="#sdfootnote277sym"><SUP>277</SUP></A>
systems of Religion all had systems of Qurban or Korban. Even the
Holy Communion or Eucharist was known as Qurban. It did not simply
consist of a crumb of bread but actual sacks of wheat during the
famines that plagued the early Church as Rome fell under a series of
depressions, famines, wars and runaway inflation.<A CLASS="sdfootnoteanc" NAME="sdfootnote278anc" HREF="#sdfootnote278sym"><SUP>278</SUP></A>

<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY STYLE="text-indent: 0.25in; margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%">
<FONT FACE="Garamond, serif"><FONT SIZE=3>These words have to do with
the contributions of the people given on the living altars of God for
the support of the needy of society. This is what religion meant. It
was the loving of our neighbor by an active viable system of faith,
hope and charity under the perfect law of liberty.</FONT></FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=JUSTIFY STYLE="text-indent: 0.25in; margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: 100%">
<FONT FACE="Garamond, serif"><FONT SIZE=3>But all systems of Corban
did not remain freewill offerings. Rome and Israel both began with
voluntary systems but decayed into systems with benefactors who
exercised authority forcing the contributions of the people.
Governments of power, control and entitlements eventually replaced
religions of faith and love. Religions who neglected the duties
endowed by God became superstitious associations dedicated to self
justification through doctrines of pride.</FONT></FONT></P>
