With the power to exercise authority and control the actions of others by force will come the temptation of Saul to exercise influence and therefore power over others.
Jesus was led to and faced the three temptation of ruling over others and the world in Matthew 4 where he was tempted to turn stones into bread. Stones of the Altars of God have always been a metaphor for the ministers of charity to the people by the priests of society. There are two types of these priests who are the officers of two different types of welfare systems.[1]
Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
Matthew 4:5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
Deuteronomy 6:16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah. Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Luke 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
