The Prayer

The situation is that it's not a conventional gallbladder thing - stones, etc., but a "gallbladder related 'sort of thing'".

The area from which the nagging sensation/mild pain comes from has been narrowed down to the gallbladder, but no x-rays have been able to establish the presence of anything inside the gallbladder except for some small, what appears to be, fleshy growth; and after what was described as one of the "best doctors money can buy" failed to diagnose just what is the underlying problem, he, the doctor, put the thing out to colleagues and searched the internet - but all to no avail - apparently "nobody's" heard of such a thing...

The Answer(s)

1.) I have taken a flush. you will find it at [1]

It works very good.

2.) Gallbladder problems can be caused by a weak digestive system which makes the gallbladder work too hard. To improve digestion eat plenty of raw foods, avoid all processed sugar and high fructose corn syrup, take digestive enzymes and probiotics. Some people (like me) have low stomach acid so taking betaine HCL (hydrochloric acid) can improve the acid level. Some people benefit from a couple tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in water. The chemistry of the digestive system uses lots of minerals so a mineral supplement may be beneficial.

3.) We have a pretty good collection of natural/herbal remedy books that we look through anytime someone here has a problem. The common herbal antedote for the gallbladder, kidney, liver, pancreas parts of the body usually involves dandelion. It's one of those bitter herbs like horseradish that is exceptionally well suited for cleaning and healing the digestive parts of the body. Here's a bit from one of the books that might be helpful:

"Bitter plants aid in digestion. Typical bitter plants include goldenseal, yarrow, and dandelion. Sour taste is helpful in digestion as well. Sour is experienced with lemon and other citrus fruits as well as rosehips and hawthorn berries. Pungent taste increases the appetite and promotes digestion and sweating. Examples are black pepper and onion. Astringent taste is drying and constricting and is used to promote absorption and restriction of fluid. The astringent taste, associated with the tannin constituents in plants, can be found with raspberry leaf and witch hazel. Salty taste in plants such as seaweeds also promotes the body's ability to retain fluids. Sweet taste, found in herbs such as licorice and psyllium is nutritive and promotes growth of tissues". Delmar's Integrative Herb Guide for Nurses.

I've been drinking an herbal tea for a couple months that includes either dandelion root or dandelion leaves. Remember to drink plenty of water because it is a diuretic. Here's another quotation regarding dandelion from a different book:

"Medicinal Virtues: It has an opening and cleansing quality and, therefore, very effectual for removing obstructions of the liver, gall bladder and spleen and diseases arising from them such as jaundice. It openeth the passages of the urine both in young and old and will cleanse ulcers in the urinary tract. For this purpose the decoction of the roots or leaves in white wine, or the leaves used as pot herbs are very effectual. Modern Uses: Bile production by the liver and urinary output from the kidneys is increased with the use of this herb. As a diuretic, it is superior to many produced synthetically by pharmaceutical companies. Dried root can be boiled or dandelion coffee is available in health food stores. Fresh, clean young leaves can be added to salads in the spring". Culpepper's Herbal.

Another really good book is The Nature's Doctor by Dr H.C.A. Vogel. It's actually an enjoyable read.

4.) I have used this gallbladder fast several times. Got a 1/4 cup of gall stones out the first time. Requires you drink apple juice and distilled water only for 4 days then a cup of olive oil... lie on left? side with pillow under your hip... near bathroom. 'There is more to it but that is the basics.

If there are really no stones but only flaps of skin instead of stones they may cause similar symptoms.

Cleansing is almost always a good idea.

I am wondering if there has been parasites.

Parasites like the gall bladder. Has he been to South America or foreign countries, I am wondering, like Asia? Also there are toxins that would come through the liver and end up in the Gallbladder.

The warm water and walking sounds to me like a little apple cider vinegar in the warm water might be good.

If parasites have been a problem the question is which ones and are they gone or are they still there?

Any thing unusual about his skin pallor? Are their marks or irregularities in one of his eyes? Are there things he eats that sets off the attack? Is there a time the attacks most often take place?

When or if you shake his hand what do you feel?

I say these things on an open forum but I would like you to consider that God is saying things to us all the time... We need to learn to listen.

5.) I have had people report good results resolving gall bladder issues with prayer and fasting for as long as seven days. My go to herbalist resource, Dian Dincin Buchman, recommends this: combine one ounce each of dndelion root, parsley root, and lemon balm with a half ounce each of licorice root and ginger root; add two guarts of boiling water, simmer down to one quart, strain the liquid and drink a half glass every two hours. Gallbladders can get serious on a person rather quickly. Our brother needs to be alert for symptoms such as fever, yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes and swelling and tenderness of the abdomen as these are all serious signs and could indicate that a gallstone has blocked something it shouldn't and requires pretty immediate surgical intervention.

My Experience

Years ago I was becoming ill many evenings after going to bed. Some times it seemed as if I was poisoned and there was considerable discomfort around my Gallbladder.

The diagnoses was that I had gallstones and after eating meals with meat or or diet containing greasy or oily foods these bouts with nausea were greater. This always occurred after laying on my right side.

I was introduced to the booklet Cleansing or Surgery[2] by the author who was a close friend.

Some people suggest that the stones you pass are actually manufactured in your stomach by the combination of oil and acid lemon juice. But in my case this does not seem possible. The first time I did it I did not swallow the lemon juice after drinking most of the oil. I used it to clean my mouth out of the taste of the oil.

I passed a quarter cup of what appeared to be softened gallstones. It was a very uncomfortable process with bouts of nausea during the night.

A few weeks later I felt a small attack of nausea at night so I immediately did the cleanse again. I had not drank the full amount of oil because I found the taste to horrendous.

The second time I got only a few gallstones but one was very large. There was periodic nausea during the night but it did not last as long.

More than a year later I did the cleanse again but during the night there was no nausea but at the same rhythm I had felt the nausea I now felt a very warm flush come over me instead.

I have not ever had the nausea and symptoms of a gallbladder attack again.

I have also used the apple juice to pass several kidney stones which do not seem to be as big a problem since the price of orange juice went up and we drink f=very little.

Me and my saltwater flush

I found the salt water to be terribly difficult to swallow but extremely effective in flushing the system.

An interesting note.

My wife had no difficulty in drinking the saltwater. In fact she could not figure what all the fuss was about. It also did not work with her. There was no change, flushing or ill effect. Go figure. Everyone is different.

Doing the Cleanse

The gallbladder cleanse takes 4 days.

Each day for 4 days you drink up to 1 gallon of apple juice and up to 1 gallon of distilled water. Take it easy during this time. Get caught up on reading and resting. You will have energy because you are not digesting food but you should not over exert yourself.

You can do one or more saltwater flushes during this time but not more than one a day. Some people do an enema to help remove toxins that are being released. One or the other can be important to remove toxins that your body is going to try to expel during this fast and cleanse.

Drinking the Oil

On the evening of the third day drink 1/2 cup of virgin olive oil or cold pressed peanut oil. Use unrefined oil. Chill the oil and or use the straw to lesson the problem with the taste.

Right after you can drink 1/4 cup of fresh squeezed lemon juice. I only swallowed a small amount to keep the oil taste out of the mouth but it might make passing the stones easier.

Then go directly to bed and lie down on your right side with two pillows under the right hip. The pillows slant the body so that the oil will go down into the duct area and into the gallbladder.

As you rest it may feel awkward. This is the most effective position for the oil to do its work in expelling the gallstones. You may change your position after 4 or 5 hours. I recommend you are near the bathroom because the nausea can be intense for some. You may feel like burping or vomiting.

Reactions to Cleanse

Sometime during the night, you may vomit or be nauseated. They say that this is caused by the gallbladder ejecting the stones with such force that it shoots the oil back into the stomach. In all honesty, you may spend a miserable night. I waited to late to drink the oil and got almost no rest but it should be over in 3 to 5 hours. You can have a little V8 after that. Conventional gallbladder surgery can involve many months of pain and suffering as the scar tissue mends.

The Day After

You will probably want to rest and take it easy. Use the time for prayer and quiet meditation. You might want to watch a movie or listen to music or read. Continue drinking apple juice and distilled water.

Passing the Stones

Sometime during the fourth day you will probably have a bowel movement. Check the toilet water carefully. When you pass gallstones, you should see them floating near the top of the toilet water. The oil makes them slick and the lemon juice takes the sharpness out. The stones are soft when they pass. The stones can be the size of tiny pebbles or as large as the end of your thumb. The stones come in different shades of green and may be bright colored and shiny like gemstones. The color comes from the bile. The light colored stones are the newest. Blackish stones are the oldest. Some people say that when they passed their stones, the toilet water looked like balls of bright green grass.

It is not unusual to expel 100 or more gallstones after doing this cleanse. You may continue doing daily saltwater flushes or enemas for 2 or 3 more days after you expel the gallstones to help clean out the toxins that are coming into the colon from the cleanse.

Don't pig out on the fifth day. The body has slowed down and it will take 3 or 4 days to rebuild to a normal diet. For 3 or 4 days following the fast, eat plenty of raw fruits and vegetables and drink unsweetened juices to restart the digestive mechanisms. Eat small meals and watch to see if there is pain after eating. If so, go more slowly. Fruits are easiest to digest. On the second day after the cleanse, a simple vegetable soup with plenty of broth is good. Shopping list for Gallbladder Cleanse

per individual

4 gallons of apple juice

4 gallons of steam distilled water

1/2 c virgin olive oil or cold-pressed peanut oil

3 lemons (or enough to make 1/4 cup lemon juice)

tomato juice - 1 tablespoon

1 straw (optional)

If you do this cleanse in the fall, look for freshly-pressed, raw apple juice in the supermarket. Or, if you have an apple press, you could use freshly made apple juice. Otherwise, bottled, unsweetened apple juice is fine.

Make sure the water is "steam distilled water." Bottled drinking water is not the same. You do not want water with minerals in it.

This is basically what I learned from the book Cleansing or Surgery[3] which has more information and other products concerning health.

Fact: Some gallstones (smaller gallstones) can exit gallbladder.

Not all stone can exit gallbladder. Rare stones can be even larger then 2 inch ( 5cm ) in smallest diameter.

Majority of gallstones starts their "life" as a microscopic crystal of cholesterol. Very few gallstones ever get a chance to grow larger then 2mm. Most are expelled while small as sand.

cholesterol = chole + sterol The name originates from the Greek chole- (bile) and stereos (solid)

cholesterol = Greek for solid bile

Everyone is not the same. I do not know anyone that did not have trouble with the gallbladder surgery and I do not know anyone that had ill effects from the cleanse but still there is always the possibility that problems could develop. Be wise in your health choices.
