What are commandments?
The word commandment is defined as "a divine rule, especially one of the Ten Commandments."
"The Ten Commandments are [are said to be] laws or rules handed down to Moses by God on Mount Sinai. An example of the Ten Commandments are "I am the LORD thy God. Thou shalt have no strange gods before Me" and "Thou shall not kill." YourDictionary
But the word commandment in the Hebrew is the word mitsvah[1]
