We see the word commanded numerous times in the Bible. Some times it is men commanding other men sometimes it is God or Jesus making commands. The first place we see the word commanded is in Genesis when God commanded man not to eat of the tree of Knowledge but only of the tree of life.[1] It is probably just as important to understand what those trees are as it is to understand the word commanded.

The word there is [2] 06680 the Hebrew root word TzadikVavHey is used to create the Hebrew word commandment, mitsvah, TzadikVavHeyMem.[3]

There are several Greek words translated commanded in the New Testament and the first one is prostasso, which only appears 7 times.[4] It is a word that means more to bid some one to do something or conform to some order or arrangement rather than a forceful command.

Another Greek word translated command is paraggello [5] which may include the idea of a command but by itself it only means to " to transmit a message along from one to another, to declare".

A third word in the Greek translated command is keleuo [6] which specifically does mean to command and appears some 27 times[7] , usually by people in positions of authority. It is from a primary Greek word kello meaning "to urge on".

Peter uses the term "keleuo" in reference to Jesus giving him a command.[8] And Jesus uses it in one of His Parables.[9]

Jesus uses the term "keleuo" several times in order to direct the His disciples and the people who sought to follow Him.[10]


Comments
"This Bible is for the Government of the People, by the People, and for the People."[11] But the when the people are first seen by the prophets they are scattered dry bones.
The “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together" of Hebrews 10:25 was exemplified when the disciples were "commanded" by Jesus to make[12] the people sit down in "ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties."
Mark 6:38 "He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.[39] And he commanded[13] them to make all sit down by companies[14] upon the green grass.[40] And they sat down in ranks[15], by hundreds, and by fifties.[41] And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all."
In the Gospel of the kingdom we can see Jesus "commanding" the people to form a network of congregations, not like the modern Church but like the early Church or they may not be fed by God according to The Way.
We see this same pattern of Tens when the disciples were told to make the people sit down by fifties in a company. [16]
But this pattern of Tens was essential at Pentecost when thousands upon thousands of Jewish citizens accepted Jesus as the Christ and king.
This organized gathering in Tens was to implement a Corban through the hands of Jesus' disciples that would make the word of God to effect again.
The Bible and history consistently warns the people that covetous practices and applying for benefits of authoritarian benefactors or eating at tables of rulers will snare the people into a yoke of bondage and make them merchandise and curse children making them a surety for debt.
Once the people are entangled[17] in the elements of the world, no prince or potentate, president or parliament will make a nation great again. Only thinking a different way and seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness will save the people.
Certainly to loose the bands of Rome we must fast from the fist of wickedness but also must meet the proviso[18] of Christ and be a doer of the word, forgiving and giving in His Name.
To create those invisible and unbreakable bonds of faith, hope and charity the practice of love must be consistent through the service of elder and minister alike in accordance with Christ.
Judges 17:6 "In those days [there was] no king in Israel, [but] every man did [that which was] right in his own eyes." which is a good thing as long as men keep their eye upon the righteousness of God.

    This word sumposion is derived in part from the word pino which means "figuratively, to receive into the soul what serves to refresh strengthen, nourish it unto life eternal"
