Fringes
The Fringe Element
- Deuteronomy 22:12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
I was asked Message: I've been doing some study on the Tzitzits and whether it is a command to wear them if you are non-Jew. The Scripture seems to indicate wearing 4 of them, each corner of your garment, where they can be seen, every day,7 days a week other than sleep time. Any thoughts /your understanding of this would be much appreciated.
By Tzitzits he means the תציצ or tzitzit or tsiytsith pronounced \@tsee-tseeth’ which we see in Numbers 15:38 as fringes:
- Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:
The word tzitzit [1] is composed of four letters:
- צ ץ TZADIK The Faith of the Righteous One the foundation of the world "to hunt." [Harvest pant desire]90
- י YUD The Infinite Point of essential good hidden in the tet. [closed hand... Deed work to make]10
- צ ץ TZADIK The Faith of the Righteous One the foundation of the world "to hunt." [Harvest pant desire]90
- ת TAV Seal of Higher malchut to the keter (crown) through faith linking worlds. [sign cross... seal]400
The word tzitzit is from a word that is said to mean flower.[2] Instead of ending in a Tav like the word tzitzit the word tzitzah ends in the letter Hey. This changes the meaning by adding an idea contained in the letters.
The letter Hey or ה HEI is connected to the Expression or Thought, Speech, Action. It has to do with the manifesting of things from seeds of thought and life.
If you remove the ending letter you end up with the root word tsiyts ץיצ.[3]
The word is tsiyts ץיצ and is translated flower 10 times and plate 3 times and blossom once but also wings once. The word tsiyts ץיצ is a root word composed of three letters and produces the word tzitzit by adding the letter Tav which is the Mark of God and the letter that means faith.
The word tsiyts ץיצ is also said to be from tsuwts ץוצ [4] which while it has the same letters is asigned a different strongs number. It is said to mean "to blossom, shine, sparkle" and is translated flourish five times, blossom twice, and bloomed and shewing once each.
Because most words in Hebrew have both a physical and an abstract meaning it is not difficult for the Sophist to unmoore the meaning of the word from the spiritual significance and get the humanist nature of man to focus on the form or ritual rather than its true meaning.
While the word tzitzit only appears a few times in the Bible[5] there is another place we see what appears to be a call for fringes. But another completely different word is use.
It only appears as fringe once in Deuteronomy 22:12 but also as the word wreath i 1 Kings[6]
The word there is gedil לדג .[7]
The three letters that produce this word fringe are Gimel Daleth Lamed:
- ג Gimel Reward and Punish, Cause and effect. Do to others as they should do. Camel[throwstick pride to lift up]3
- ד DALET Selflessness – Charity, back and forth (door) pathway enter... fish)4
- ל LAMED Aspiration of the Heart to learn or direct like a shepherd [Hand prod, staff, whip... tongue]30
These same letters produce several words from Strong's numbers 1431 to 1435 but it is said that these same letters are the root word of gadal לדג [8] which all have a similar meaning to magnify, make greater, nourish up, grow up, etc..
All these words have a meaning of going from a blossom to a flower or nourishing up or making greater. If we couple those ideas with be fruitful and multiply to the parable of the talents in Matthew 25 where someone did nothing with what he had and was condemned for it we can see that it is important to seek a nurturing approach in all things, in all directions of our life.
This is the message of the "fringes". If we think it is about twisty threads on cloth you have unmoored the wisdom of God from His teachings and the words of the prophets.
If you think it is about knots and strings you have fallen for the Sophistry of Satan.

attending to the Weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith which include caring for the needs of our neighbors and the widows and orphans of our society through Pure Religion in matters of health, education, and welfare. We are NOT to provide for the needy of society through the Covetous Practices and the men who call themselves benefactors but who exercise authority one over the other like the socialists do.
The Way of Christ was like neither the way of the world of Rome nor the governments of the gentiles who depend on those fathers of the earth through force, fear and fealty who deliver the people back in bondage again like they were in Egypt. Christ's ministers and true Christians do not depend upon systems of social welfare that force the contributions of the people like the corban of the Pharisees which made the word of God to none effect. Many people have been deceived to go the way of Balaam and the Nicolaitan and out of The Way of Christ and have become workers of iniquity.
The Christian conflict with Rome in the first century Church appointed by Christ was because they would not apply to the fathers of the earth for their free bread but instead relied upon a voluntary network providing a daily ministration to the needy of society through Faith, Hope, and Charity by way of freewill offerings of the people, for the people, and by the people through the perfect law of liberty in Free Assemblies according to the ancient pattern of Tuns or Tens as He commanded.
The modern Christians are in need of repentance.
