People followed Abraham, Moses, John the Baptist and Jesus. The altars of clay and stone was a way to create the social bonds of free people. The levites led the Israelites. And the early Church followed Christ and His Way, which was The Way, and advocated a Daily ministration that was dependent on Pure Religion through Fervent charity only. This was the Corban of Christ which was not like the system of Corban of the Pharisees nor of Rome or the systems of FDR and LBJ.

Follow Me

The phrase "Follow me" used by Jesus is from the Greek word akoloutheo [1]

We are to follow The Way of Christ which would include seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness by caring for our neighbor as much as ourselves. The evidence that we are followers of Christ is seen in our voluntary works that show that we are freely willing to strive to live by faith, hope and charity rather than force, fear and fealty which offers the entitlements that are the wages of unrighteousness.

To be a Christian should be by definition a follower of Jesus and the clear Doctrine of Jesus who was the Christ, the anointed King, who came to set the captive free rather than make people merchandise nor curse children.

According to the decrees of Jesus who was the Christ for His followers in Matthew 7:[21-23]

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Reaching for His Salvation is only possible because of His redemption when we actually repent and seek that Kingdom of God and His Righteousness which is evident in our following The Way of Christ which does not include an appetite for the dainties of rulers.[2]

Success in that journey comes by grace through faith. But what grace have you if you only love those who love you?

How do you know you are truly saved and not merely under a strong delusion?

We do not earn salvation with our works but our works are the fruit and confirmation of faith in the love of Christ, who came to serve not be served!

The works of iniquity are also evidence that we are in need of repentance.

If we come in His [[name we will have the works of his sacrifice but if we do not have the works of faith we know our faith is not true faith and without true faith there is no salvation?

We would not be biting one another through the Benefactors who exercise authority one over the other nor praying to the fathers of the earth for our daily bread.

In 2 Corinthians 4:4 we see Paul say that the "gods of the world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not". Has the "gods of the world" today also blinded the people so that they cannot see that their covetous practices have made them merchandise, curse children and as surety for debt entangled them back under the yoke and the bondage of Egypt?

Paul quotes David in Romans 11:9 [3] speaking of tables being a snare and a trap. The quote is from Psalms 69:22 [4] where David talks about what should have been for our welfare being a trap.

Acts 12:8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

Christ tried to explain to the Pharisees who had strayed into an area of Legal charity through the Corban of Herod that they were brought them into conflict with the law or the Logos of love for one another into the covetous practices that degenerate the masses into perfect savages until they become the merchandise of tyrants.

Until the people are willing to see it is their own greed and avarice, their own appetite and wantonness that compels and drives this process of decent and degeneration they will to be able to Repent nor see The Way to seek the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. The false prophets and Gurus of the world will creep into their thinking and imagination. As the blind leading the blind[5] they will all fall into the pit of a strong delusion.
