Battling Enemies in all dimensions
Life sometimes seems to be a battle or a struggle. The book of Psalm mentions enemies more than any other book of the Bible. But before an enemy may be defeated we need to identify who or what the enemy really is.

Psalms also tells us to "be still" because the "LORD shall fight" those enemies for us.

"Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalms 46:10

"The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." Exodus 14:14

"Better [is] an handful [with] quietness, than both the hands full [with] travail and vexation of spirit." Ecclesiastes 4:6

There are several different words translated into the word enemies in the Old Testament.

They are not all the same but they may be a form of an enemy. The most common root word in the Hebrew is ‘oyeb AlefYodBeit.

Some think of evil as a force against the good, like demons against angels. But good is equated with light and darkness cannot war against the light.

Just as the kingdom of God is within so also is the darkness from which evil is manifested within us. Darkness is the result of blocking the light.

Hate, anger, judgement, unforgiveness come from putting yourself, our vanity, our will before the will of the Creator.

Man usurps the will of God when he eats of his own tree of knowledge rather from the spirit of the tree of life from above.

This willful desire leads to usurp and ruling over others, putting "self" first and others second. It leads to oppression as we saw with Cain who "plowed the adhamah" to fill his altar.

Our battle with what we think of as evil is often only a battle with our own will, the darkness of our own heart that allows us to imagine our own self-righteousness to be righteousness.

We must learn to love the light that will show us the lies hidden in the garden of our own heart and mind.

Can we hear the whisper of love from the Holy Spirit of the LORD from above our the voices from the lord's of the dark recesses of our own heart and mind?

The flesh moves not the Spirit, but it is the spirit that moves the flesh and the flesh moves the world of men.

But what spirit moves our heart and mind? Is it from above or somewhere else?

"And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;" 1 Thessalonians 4:11.

The word study means to be "zealous" or "eager" or "strive".
The word quiet
Means rest from work, cease from altercation, am silent, live quietly from same hésuchios defined to be still, be silent. Our personal ego needs to be silent, forgiving the trauma that has hidden in the darkness so the truth and light may shine.

We cannot truly defeat the demons of any world without victory in spirit and truth. But do we have the patience of the saints who wait upon the Lord.

We cannot be free from the enemies of God unless we will receive the truth in our hearts and our minds. Without true humility about ourselves we will not benefit from the honor and power of the most High.

We must never take pride in our struggle, knowledge or accomplishments.

All power, honour and glory must be given to God. Any and all failure to keep the commandments is evidence of our need of repentance.

How do we know if we are tempting God with our hidden vanity or pride and envy?

Our imagination, if tempered with our own willful thoughts and pride, may bring our minds into the captivity of a strong delusion. Repenting is a changing of the mind but without the Holy Spirit, the comforter, we know not how or in what way that our minds should be changed.

"Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" 2 Corinthians 10:5

According to Proverbs we are to give drink to our enemy and according to Christ you need to love your enemy.

Proverbs tells us that giving in love to that hateful enemy will actually be to him like "coals of fire upon his head"

We are to be baptized with fire which is to bring the light of God into our own hearts so we may confess the truth and let go of the will that has become a stumbling block of recompense. If we are willing to see the whole truth about ourselves the light of the Lord may shine in us and before us like a fiery sword of His righteousness.

"Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me." Psalms 143:9

There is no greater enemy of the truth than our own unwillingness to see or hear the truth about ourselves.

"And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden." Genesis 3:8

If we are to know the voice of the LORD we need to still our own hearts and minds so that we may hear his still small voice.

"And after the earthquake a fire; [but] the LORD [was] not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice." 1 Kings 19:12

Contemplating in depth
There are many places in the Bible that tells us to be still so that you can hear God and learn what is righteous.

There are benefits of "meditation and mindfulness" but there are also side effects. There are many approaches to meditation and there can be a need for help during these processes. The kinds of help can vary even more than the kinds of meditations.

Genesis 24:63 "And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels [were] coming."

Meditation may help you see things in the present by dealing with things of the past and letting them go through a process of admission or personal confession and of course forgiveness.

"Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred." Job 6:24

While meditation may bring you face to face with your mental baggage or even demons it may only bring you to a place of change but it does not make the choice for you.

Psalms 119:15 "I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways."

Meditation may be an exercise but also a lens. The view it produces will depend on your willingness see and ability to handle the truth without being distracted.

Psalms 119:148 "Mine eyes prevent the [night] watches, that I might meditate in thy word." for "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!" Matthew 6:22-23

and outcomes depending on both form and intent.

thinking may produce multiple physiological and biochemical reactions
in the body that will in turn affect our thinking and emotions
in your brain like noradrenaline, serotonin, or dopamine which can
drastically affect both brain and bodily functions. Even rehearsing
or recalling these events in the mind may re-release these chemicals
which will affect the mind and the body.
may produce a reduction in
the activities of the mind. This reduction in mental activity maybe
instrumental in producing a “decreased heart rate, decreased
respiration rate, decreased stress hormones like plasma cortisol. At
the same time there may be an increase in alpha brain waves
associated with relaxation. With a reduction of activity in the
nervous system and blood lactate levels the mind may become more
alert producing quicker reactions, more creativity and
greater comprehension. Meditation may produce these conditions four times
faster than in pre-meditation resting.1

are the mechanics of meditation?

Every
religion used forms of meditation.

All forms
of meditation are not created or practiced equally. Just as physical
exercise can do harm so can meditation. Good forms of meditation do
not guarantee that good will result any more than exercising the body
will produce virtuous people. It is not the form that gives life but
the spirit.

According
to Zen and all Buddhist typology meditation practices are the same,
but their substance and purpose differ. While some use meditation for
mental and physical quietude others use it to transcend the mental
and physical state.

Altering
the “mental and physical state” of the individual is as
dependent upon technique as it is dependent upon the intent of the
individual. Knowledge of that true intent may be as elusive as the
“mental and physical state” the individual seeks.

The
ordinary Japanese and Chinese meditation of bonpu is practiced
for mental and physical well-being without any spiritual goal.
Outside of Buddhist purposes there are those purposes of Hindu,
Judaism, or Christian contemplation or even for the pursuit of
supernatural powers.

There also
may be a practice of meditation for the purpose of self-liberation
from emotional bondage like phobias or syndromes, or even the release
from the grip of emotional and physical habits in the hope of
achieving a free state of soul and mind.

These basic
purposes may be expanded to include self-realization for a higher
purpose or benefit to all beings, or used as a path to the full
realization or restoration of an individual created in the image of
God to his original state.

There are
thousands of meditation methods and numerous types and categories
described. An extensive examination of the variation may be counter
productive in seeking an understanding of the basics of proper or
improper meditation.

In order to
establish some frame of reference we will examine two types of
meditation concentrative or focused meditation
and what may be called mindfulness.

In
concentrative meditation2
you focus attention on
an object like a part of the body or an external object. Some will
focus on their breathing or a sound or group of sounds or tones. They
can include a wide range of activities from simple tapping or rigid
postures or positions, chanting and mantras but may even include
physical penance or in the extreme self-torture and mutilation.

These
practices are a lot more common in there simple forms and may be done
naturally with no association with the idea of meditation. Everything
from wiggling your foot to tapping your fingers to humming a tune or
repeating the same phrase or prayer over and over are all forms of
naturally occurring habits that have been associated in meditations.

These
focused meditation may
include some visualization. A focused
attention meditation is often found among Buddhist and Hindu teachings in different forms.
Some practitioners suggest that as you are able to deeply and
consistently focus your attention in meditation that you are
accomplishing the goal but in truth this may actually you are
defeating the actual beneficial use of this technique.

The
benefit of focused meditation is
not so much in developing the ability to force concentration but in
the observation and perception of what is already in you that may
distract you from that simple attempt at practicing a concentration
exercise. By the recognition of those source of these thoughts that
stir the imagination and keep us from quite observation we may come
to peace within the mind and body. These feelings and thoughts that
bubble up in us often come from unresolved events and issues from our
past and may require forgiveness and recompense to resolve their
emotional grip upon our mind and body.

Another
type of meditation is Mindfulness3
or open observation or monitoring of all
aspects of your personal experience as a passive unattached
spectator. You simply step back from the experience and objectively observe all
thoughts or feelings or even external sensations of sound or smell
without reacting to them in each moment.

The
practitioner quietly witnesses whatever goes through the mind, not
reacting or becoming involved with thoughts, memories, worries,
without judging these images or sensations. This produces a
non-reactive state of mind with a broad rather than focused field.
The intent is to rely upon looking into and observing things with
clarity and precision the products of the fundamental reality within
us without the bias that may be imposed upon our perception when we
rely on our ability to reason or rationalizing an answer.

In open
observation meditations you
will hear ideas like ‘quiet repose’ or ‘empty the
mind of self’ or ‘choiceless awareness’ or ‘access
the divine consciousness’. These types of
meditation techniques and their terminology are also seen in
Buddhist, Hindu and even in some Taoist meditations.

The
beneficial and detrimental mechanics of “meditations” may
be found in a wide variety of human activities completely unrelated
to what has become known as religion or even meditation itself.

There
are obvious forms of mental exercises or practices listed or
identified as meditation. There are many other activities and
contemplation using the same mechanisms as meditation that are not
immediately identified or related in our thinking to the term
meditation.

Reciting
the rosary may follow the same mechanics of a repetitious mantra type
meditation but never considered the same as similar use of prayer
beads used in Tibet. Focusing on the object of the Eucharist host at
catholic benedictions may also be categorized as meditation upon an
object. Statues may serve the same purpose, focusing attention. In
truth, even the singing the star-Spangled Banner or pledging
allegiance to the flag may all fall within the categories of
meditation upon an object or idea in a ritual form of contemplation,
dedication and quiet solemnity invoking the same mechanics of
meditation seen many eastern or western religions.

All thought is
Meditation

No
matter where you go, nor how you meditate, your constant companion
will be you.

When we awaken in the morning as we
begin the day it is a common practice to stretch. This is a natural
exercise of the body that begins the flow within the body and
prepares it for more physical activity. We may consciously create a
stretching and exercise routine with varying degrees of formality but
all will include some of the basics of natural stretching.

Natural meditation will utilize both
focused meditation and what may be called
mindfulness. Again focused
meditation is
the concentrative observation of something and mindfulness
is the
detached or non-judgmental observation of what interrupts the
original observation. In essence natural meditation is taking two
steps back into self. It is a journey within to know yourself and is
dependent upon your own intent more than upon the steps you take.

Without pure intent you will never arrive at a pure understanding but
without taking the steps to see the truth you may never be able to
forgive, and therefore release yourself from the impurity of your
past or present intent.

Taking
the first step

An individual may sit down and quietly
become aware of his or her hand in a moment of dedicated and patient
contemplation.

We may experience this naturally after
hours of intense work or physical exertion when we first stop to rest
the hands or body still pulsing or vibrating from the days labor
brings our attention to them in rest.

Your attention, in the moment, is naturally focused in a state of acute contemplation on those natural
sensations, producing a feeling of objective and detached observation
or even euphoria. The work strengthens the body but in the rest the
body is strengthened if it is allowed to return to a restful state.

This natural reduction in the activities
of the mind and body produces that decreased heart and respiration
rate which may decrease those hormones that deal with natural stress.
The alpha brain waves may begin to generate a state of rest. But
thoughts of the day or even of the more distant past may enter into
the mind and keep us from a rest state that allows restoration.

Sincere and loving meditation with an
unselfish and humble intent may help us reach the restoration. This
is no different that physical exercise may assist the body and
muscles. Meditation is simply a mental exercise as natural as
stretching or walking. It is the intent of your soul and the humble
conformity to the source of all life that will determine the outcome.

Many traumas of our past have been
covered over by “mental or emotional caps” often produced
by us or gleaned from the world around us to help us avoid the pain
of the trauma or the pain we experience when we recall the trauma of
the past. Confession is simply the bringing of that trauma into to
the light of our own consciousness.

These past traumas live in our
subconscious mind and body and will also bubble up to the surface of
our mind as we attempt to rest or even just focus on our physical
presence in the moment. Past traumas by their nature are at war with
the peace and quiet of the moment.

Natural Meditation is a war with our
past where we resist not the evil and pain of that past trauma but
embrace the truth and reality with God’s forgiveness and
recompense. We merely see what we refused to see before and wait upon
the Lord of creation without personal judgment.

Meditation studies and immunity enhancement
Experienced teachers of meditation found a 65% increase in dopamine production after meditating for only 1 hour which may be attributed to what they call a "loss of executive control in meditation". This "loss of executive control" may be a simple surrender or relinquishment of your own willful or mental executive control during what we call meditation.

By practicing a technic of a meditation exercise where our mental state is "thought to be organized in open loops subserving executive control" can the benefit of meditation be manifested?

What are we actually doing during proper meditation?

And what are these "loops subserving executive control"?

Are we "waiting upon the Lord" instead of eating of the tree of knowledge but waiting for the tree of life which is a metaphor for our spiritual resonance, revelation, or inspiration?

Are we allowing the spirit to govern or production of hormones and the functioning of the "immunoregulatory role" in "in disorders like schizophrenia and Parkinson’s disease" and even "cancers".

Chemical changes
There are detectable chemical changes in the body during the process of meditation besides circulation and breathing. Dopamine is a key hormone that regulates the activation of our immune system. A neurotransmitter dopamine (DA) can not only activate "naïve or resting T cells, but it inhibits activated T cells". Also "changes in the expression of DA receptors and their signaling pathways especially in T cells are associated with altered immune functions in disorders like schizophrenia and Parkinson’s disease".

These effects and more suggest a strong "immunoregulatory role of DA"

This neurotransmitter dopamine (DA) activates resting T cells in absence of any additional stimulating agent it may reduce “cytotoxicity” which is a major source of medical complications resulting in death.

The immune system can essentially be fighting off chronic diseases including cancer by activating T-Cells and Natural Killer Cells as well as regulating cytotoxicity. But Tumors may "evolve different mechanisms that mimic peripheral immune tolerance in order to avoid tumoricidal attack.” Because there can be an increased presence of DA subtypes such as D1 D2, D3, D4 and D5 receptors including many others genes with interferon signaling can the ability of a tumor to "evolve different mechanisms" be overcome?

A study from the University of Florida, Indiana University School of Medicine, the University of Louisville and the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center contributed to the research which appears to produce a robust activation of the immune system.

“People have always known meditation improves human well-being, but they didn't know how… we have shown that naturally you can boost your immune system by meditation… 220 genes also included 68 genes which were involved in interferon signaling… and try to attack the invaders, the virus and not only that interferon proteins also fight against cancer cells in the body... you can voluntarily activate your immune system without any medication... without any pharmaceutical you can activate your immune system.”
The executive control in your body and in your mind needs to be drawn near the executive of the Law of Nature which is seen in in the Right Reason of the Creator which is perceived in the "Will of God"?
Psychedelic Mushrooms commonly known as Psilocybin mushrooms, magic mushrooms or shrooms, are a polyphyletic, informal group of fungi from more than 180 species that contain psilocybin and psilocin. Studies have been completed evaluating its use in anxiety and fear in people with terminal cancer, serious depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), cluster headaches, and smoking cessation. Hallucinogenic effects are probably due to a release of serotonin (5-HT) receptors.

In general, dried mushrooms contain about 0.2% to 0.4% psilocybin and only trace amounts of psilocin. The typical dose of psilocybin used for recreational purposes varies, with peak effects occurring in 1 to 2 hours, and lasting for about six hours. There are a wide range of effects are reported to be produced by their use. A 'bad trip' can be unpleasant to even a terrifying experience. The effects can vary considerably depending upon mushroom type, method of preparation, and tolerance of the individual. Psilocybin works by activating serotonin receptors, most often in the prefrontal cortex.

If you want to produce serotonin in a natural and balanced manner in a truly natural way where your own abilities are increased through a comprehensive manner and practice without the danger of toxins proper meditation may be more desirable.

There is evidence for increased brain serotonin during meditation besides the increase in dopamine. Meditation can produce an anxiolytic effect. "The factors decreasing anxiety during meditation are an ... increased serotonin and decreased levels of the stress hormone cortisol." The approach to depression and stress with "Spiritual practices can have considerable antidepressant effects due to the
associated increase in serotonin and dopamine."

Warnings
One of the greatest factors contributing to the outcome of meditation is the reason why you are meditating. You may think you know why but you may not fully see the entirety of your purpose.

Are you meditating to improve your life, to gain an advantage, to obtain health or power? But why do you want more control of your life and more power? Do you want to do good for yourself or for others?

The list of reasons may be endless. Whatever you think your reasons are they are probably not pure because when you begin you do not know your full mind.

"...know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever." 1 Chronicles 28:9

Buddhism has the word "makyo" for challenging perceptions that may occur during meditation. The Japanese words for “devil” and “objective world” create this term "makyo"

This can be because sitting still allows the mind to go through a cleansing process that releases or revisits stressful experiences in deep layers or dark places of the mind.

Jared Lindahl, a professor of religious studies at Brown University, stated once that “Just because something is positive and beneficial doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be aware of the broader range of possible effects it might have.” This is true of attempting to meditate.

Many unexpected experiences have been classified into seven areas:
# cognitive,
# perceptual,
# affective (related to moods),
# somatic,
# conative motivation,
# sense of self, and
# social.

An unexpected experience may not be an unwanted experience. If it is unwanted we need to meditate upon why it is unwanted or even uncomfortable. Are you seeing what you do not want to see or are you seeing what hurts but you remain steadfast in your quest to know the truth, even though it is the truth about yourself?

Experiences have been described to them were:
# feelings of anxiety and fear,
# involuntary twitching,
# insomnia,
# a sense of complete detachment from one’s emotions,
# hypersensitivity to light or sound,
# distortion in time and space,
# nausea,
# hallucinations,
# irritability, and
# the re-experiencing of past traumas.

Transcendental Meditation refers to a specific form of silent mantra meditation called the Transcendental Meditation technique, and less commonly to the organizations that constitute the Transcendental Meditation movement.

The mentioning of different forms of meditation is not meant to advocate any of them. Meditation should be about repentance, a changing of the mind. How do you know what to change your mind to without a guide and how do you have the presence of mind to choose a guide?

Life is a journey and meditation can only be a part of that journey. It is best to begin all journeys with humility, forgiveness, and love, to benefit others and not only yourself. It is not about personal power or advantage but summed up in the statement:

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

[[File:Bible.jpg|right|300px|thumb| I reviewed this Jordan/ Bennette interview in a podcast because Bennette and many others are so ignorant of what promotes the very "trust and goodwill" in society because they do not know what the Bible is about.
What are sacred scriptures about?
If people read them, translate them and interpret them but do not understand the metaphors and meaning of the myths they will not understand what the affordism and intent of the text is about.
They will not understand the aboutism of the author.
Knowing that the Prologue to the John Wycliffe Bible translation of 1384 states:
"This Bible is for the Government of the People, by the People, and for the People." We see this was quoted in Lincoln at Gettysburg Address.
Religion is mention 5 times in the Bible and only once in a good sense, while governments is mentioned in one form or another more than seven hundred to thousand times.
The followers of Jesus who repent like the Early Christians are about Pure Religion. They are willing to attend to the "weightier matters", listed by Jesus as "law, judgement, mercy, and faith" because that is what seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness is about.
In the EP 438. entitled Aboutness secular vs religious Jordan Pederson interviews Daniel Clement Dennett III who is an American philosopher, writer, and scientist within those fields related to evolutionary biology and cognitive science.

Bennett along with other influential atheists believe all forms of religion to be false and that advocated an atheist movement. worldview.

The discussion would have been of more value to the individual had a true understanding of the pragmatic "meaning" and "intention" of the "religion" ancient scriptures as described by Moses.

We covered what Moses taught in our own series on "Exodus". Unfortunately Bennett is ignorant of Moses' meaning and morality because he, like most of modern moralists, has unmoored the meaning of the metaphor that points to the "affordances" of the government of the people, for the people, and by the people that were captive and now were free.

Basically, the "trust" and "good will" Bennette suppose to be so important for "freedom" and "government" but he is ignorant of the "aboutism" and the "affordances" of the "religion" and "government" referenced in the Bible.

In general, the term Aboutness refers to the concept that a text, utterance, image, or action is on or of something, considered synonymous with a document's subject involving the 'summarization' of the texts most important concepts to be included in your translation or interpretation.

The moral authority
Daniel Bennett, the author of Breaking the Spell, sees the Evolution of ethics for the last ten thousand years has been the secularization of ethics which he thinks has nothing to do with religion.

Bennett has been an influential atheist along with Sam Harris and Dawkins and Hitchins.

Sin is an archery term about missing the target or not preserving or observing what IS...what is true.

God, like Truth, is ineffable, too great or extreme to be expressed, observed, or described in words, even the words of our mind.

Daniel Bennett believes man has evolved systems of morality which he does not think animals can.(16 min. Ep. 438)

Daniel Bennett believes we have evolved away from the Old Testament mortality standards and done away with cannibalism and with slavery.

He thanks "goodness" that we have.

But have we?

He says science is "what is" and politics is "what we think should be". He thinks we no longer need religion because we have secular logic and human reason. He believes that the freedom he sees as important can be provided by a civilized structure.

Is he vain in his wisdom?

If you asked him about the "civilized structure" of the cities of blood would be understand what they were?

Does he understand the definition of religion just 200 years ago and how it has evolved?.

He complained about the New Testament ethics but does he understand why we are told to "love our neighbor as ourself"; be careful we do not bite one another less we be devoured; or the difference between public religion filled with the leaven of secular politics where care is murdered verses pure Religion where the "trust and good will" Bennette seeks thrives? Pop

He seems to have thrown out the gift of the ancients in the form of the sacred text without ever unpacking it.

Aboutness of religious Scriptures
: “The aboutness of religious Scriptures like the Bible includes the philosophy, psychology and physics of the mind, means, and manner of man and the cause and effects of a relationship with nature, the Law of Nature, and nature's God, which is the creative patterned force and power of the universe.

The patterned force and power offered by the metaphor of the tree of life allows for the power to change that brings eternal life. The tree of knowledge allows us to be changed by something other than the tree of life and therefore may not bring the same eternal life.

Yet, the gods of religions are as numerous as the gods of governments. Most atheists today believe in public Religion and the gods of the modern secular public Religion.

There is a religion that is merely about what people think about a god, i.e. belief in an ideology. People who think they do not believe in a Spiritual God are still religious, in the since of what religion use to mean two hundred years ago.

Their religion is that public Religion and your duty is determined by the gods of that public Religion. Those gods are parliaments, Prime ministers and presidents elect, directly or indirectly, by the choices of the people.

The difference may be simply whether they believe in the religion of charity or the religion of forced offerings. The latter is the secular religion of the modern atheist. These type of people feel the need to name God or the gods which includes the desire to define God or gods which is an attempt to place God into the bottle of our secular imagination.

Once, we think we have done that religion becomes an ideology instead of a "Pius duty" of the people. This naming or intellectually defining God will degenerate the people because they descend into the darkness of our imagination rather than the light of Truth.

Mapping the aboutness
Jordan with his maps of meaning and Exodus series has been trying to connect the dots laid out in myth and metaphor with little help from modern religionists and philosophers who are far more worldly than merely secular'.

They can not even see their own confusion nor the wisdom of the ancients because like the Pharaohs and Pharisees and the people who followed their pernicious ways they have been blinded.

It should be the hope of those who live by faith which is trust that those who live by force and sit in darkness may yet learn to love the light.

Affordance of liberty
JJ Gibson He defined an affordance as what the environment provides or furnishes the animal. Notably, Gibson compares an affordance with an ecological niche emphasizing the way niches characterize how an animal lives in its environment.
JJ Gibson did not track affordance in the brain.??

Entropy is a lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder. There is order in the universe that came from somewhere and not from the mind of man. There is also room for chaos because their is some possibility of choice. That choice is no merely a product of the pushing and pulling of emotion. Emotion does not create all the order.

Daniel Bennett as an atheist sees emotions as doing all the pushing and pulling in the mind. There is no unifying Spirit of morality.

Daniel Bennett does not believe there is a supernatural agent whose approval must be bargained for. Bennett wants to deny the affordance of the mind because he thinks it is just a computer. The DNA within the body generate light and also responds to light. It is design to both send and receive. The body and mind are the corporeal hereditaments of our individuality and emotion is not the only affordance of the mind through the secretion of hormones. The spiritual DNA of everyone influences their destiny.

Practices of men alter and their societies and the natural the proclivity of the people and self denial is not the product of emotions. What naturally calls for sacrifice?

Sacrifice is said, in one form, draws us near the source of life which is why there is a metaphor of the tree of life.

Sacrifice in another form draws into a pattern of degeneration which is why there is a metaphor of the tree of knowledge which includes the practice of denying the affordance of the inspiration of spiritual DNA.

The sacrifice that is generated by the secular gods of the world and their public religion is the sacrifice of fools which is legal charity.

Bennette says we need good will and trust but the secular system of public religion and its sacrifice of fools of legal charity will degenerate the people and give rise to tyrants.

But is that what God is?

If we put the image of God in the bottle of our own imagination we will become idolatry. The desire for comfort is a production of the pushing and pulling of our emotions and the words of our mind we may eventually divide God into many gods.

If we are in denial about the trauma of our confusion we will compartmentalize our emotions and divide our mind until our gods begin to war with one another.

Even if we could evolve the singular "unmoved mover" back into a monotheist God who merely exists, the existing one, we would soon endow him with our own schizophrenia.

Jordan suggest that God is a voice that is calling mentioning the burning bush. 31 min

What Moses saw and spoke to was not named, even by Moses. It is identified as the I AM, or the EXISTING ONE.

God is not a "supernatural agent whose approval must be bargained for." The Torah is defining the cause and effect, the psychology and physics, the purpose and practicality, of the practices of mankind in their rituals and ceremonies but through metaphors and allegories.

Summum bonum
Summum bonum is a Latin expression meaning the highest or ultimate good, which was introduced by the Roman philosopher Cicero to denote the fundamental principle on which some system of ethics is based — that is, the aim of actions, which, if consistently pursued, will lead to the best possible life.

Pederson imagines that Thought is secularized prayer and that were thinking religiously longer than we have been thinking rationally. 41:

Daniel Bennett sees trust is what allow science and society. 39

Goodwill and trust
Is trust and faith the same ???

Bennet sees there needs to be goodwill and trust. How do you cultivate that "goodwill and trust" in society and how do you undermine that "goodwill and trust".

He also sees a need for freedom and government and it's law making ability to create order and "No one is above the law."

Breakdown of trust in "government and science". To these atheists like Sam Harris their trust is in their intellect and in themselves.

Sam trusted in his version of science and wanted to force his will on his neighbor. We can trust Sam to be a tyrant.

To the atheist there is no humbling power, no tree of life nor God to walk with and obey but the governments they create for themselves.

Never trust the good will of a atheist who loves his opinion more than his neighbor. He will become a tyrant who is untrustworthy.

Science is not the solution but a quest.

Can science save
Science in China produced a Skynet that watches the people.

Peterson mocks the idea of the Chinese that they are making the good Skynet just as he mocks the communists who think they are the saviors of the good social justice.

100 min

Daniel Bennett states that is why we need law and government.

Daniel Bennett thinks all the advances In ethics has been fought by religion but has come about by the secular advances.

I have seen secular corruption in Sumer, Babylon, Egypt, and many city-states and finally Rome.

It appears we are undergoing a degeneration of the moral ethics in societies from the early 1900's.

Dual magisterium
Daniel Bennett does not see the dual magisterium is government and religion.

There was a dual system in the government of Moses and neither Peterson nor Daniel Bennett understand how it worked.

Daniel Bennett complains that Stephen J. Gould should not have assumed that religion is the moral authority of society.

Stephen J. Gould's definition of magisteria means the teaching domain of each subject, referring to what both science and religion teach humanity about the empirical and metaphysical world. Science's magisterium is more focused on the empirical world whereas religious magisterium is concerned with human morals.

But is the real flaw in the dual magisterium theory a failure of mis- gendering.

The magisterium swells
Even "real communism" degenerates the people including the trust between the people. communism denies God and overthrows the family.

Rome over through the Tarquinian kings and formed a Republic and promoted the family as sacred.

Much of the power of government was in the hands of the fathers of those families.

When families gathered in small groups they respected the elders as the counsel of the Senate which had little power at first.

Over centuries they looked more and more to government to provide for more and more benefits until the protests and imperium of the natural family was in the hands of men who desired to rule.

Power shifted from the fathers of families to the Fathers of the State.

Power corrupts. Institution that endow divisions of society to obtain power will be corrupted by that power.

What tools of society builds trust?

What tools of society cultivates and nurtures good will?

Society must have fundamental and foundational guidelines that Mark a departure from a healthy society.

The magisterium gendered
Society consists of men and women who form family that produce the next generation.

Biblically the traditional family is one man and one woman who produce and raise of spring.

When Families come together they form clans and tribes, tribes form nations. As groups become larger governments are instituted. That process may consolidate power where families rule over families giving rise to abuse and oppression, kings and tyrants.

"Every tool will become a weapon in your enemies hands."

And everyone who loves them self or heir family mor than their neighbor becomes an instrument of oppression and a tool of tyranny.

The unique gendered divisions placed in the structure of the government as explained by an inspired Moses was tampered with, distorted and degraded in succeeding generations by greed and sloth, pride and avarice, of the church and state respectively.

The church in the wilderness and the people of the nation of Israel, before the kings, represented distinct and well defined responsibilities within society for properly attending to the weightier matters of law, judgement, mercy and faith.

The pattern and purpose created by the dual exercise by the laity and the clergy or the church in the wilderness, the Levites, (representative of the feminine gender of society)</Ref> of the natural and divine responsibilities and rights which form the DNA of free society with both secular and spiritual entanglement.

This same pattern of a corrupt blending of the clergy and laity has lead to the error of Balaam and the deeds of the Nicolaitans time and time again.

That corruption, like a cancer, eroded the reproduction of the next generation. The bondage produced by the covetous practices that flourished under the counterfeit interpretation, apostasy, brings a pain that calls for repentance.

The church as an institution becomes a harlot of tyrants instead of the Bride of Christ.

The need for a divine intervention of the spiritual DNA of man becomes paramount but only comes with a renewal of humility through the sincere prayer of, "Thy will be done."

Aboutism

Institution that endow divisions of society to obtain powe will be corrupted by that power.

Aboutism

Bennet sees there needs to be goodwill and trust. How do you cultivate that "goodwill and trust" in society and how do you undermine that "goodwill and trust".

He also see an need for freedom and government and it's law making ability to create order and "No one is above the law."

Breakdown of trust in "government and science". To these atheists like Sam Harris their trust is in their intellect and in themselves.

Sam trusted in his version of science and wanted to force his will on his neighbor. We can trust Sam to be a tyrant.

To the atheist there is no humbling power, no tree of life nor God to walk with and obey but the governments the create for themselves.

Institution that endow divisions of society to obtain powe will be corrupted by that power.

Why Persecute Christians
Christians are mentioned in Suetonius' biography of the Emperor Nero (Nero 16) as among those persecuted by him around AD 64 which was the year of the Great Fire of Rome. In this passage Suetonius describes Christianity and its excessive religiosity using the term superstitio as do others like Tacitus and Pliny.

At first there was little distinction between Christians and Jews prior to Nerva's modification of the Fiscus Judaicus in AD 96.

What is the source and cause of their contempt, bias, and bigotry toward Christians?

Religio et superstitio
It has been reported that Lucius Annaeus Seneca, the Younger, once said "Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful." Atheists and anti-religion factions love to quote him but I find no evidence that he ever did actually say or write this statement as we read it.

In fact, he makes a distinction between the two Latin words that are each sometimes translated as “religion”. One is “riligio” which he regarded as virtue and “superstitio” which he believed became a vice.

: "... religio denotes the pious and sound worship of the gods, whereas superstitio stands for instrumental worship as a result of unreasoning fear."

: "religio becomes “obligation”, an objective bond between the believer and his God."

: "But it was the enlightened view, the philosophic view of the rationalizing Romans which dissociated religio ‘religious scruple’, authentic worship, from superstitio, a degraded and perverted form of religion." Chapter 7: Religion and Superstition

The Ionic Greek term thrēskeíē is unknown in Attic Greek appearing in the first century B.C. a complex system of beliefs and practices can be considered religion as in the performance of a duty.

Seneca did write, “...just as religion does honour to the gods, while superstition wrongs them, so good men will all display mercy and gentleness,...”

He went on to connect religion with duty like the weightier matters of Christ and the whole list of Social virtues that appear in true fellowship described by Paul and the apostles who considered faith with out the works was dead. Seneca points out that it is avarice that degenerates society:

: “ ...[Philosophy’s] sole function is to discover the truth about things divine and things human. From her side religion never departs, nor duty, nor justice, nor any of the whole company of virtues which cling together in close-united fellowship. Philosophy has taught us to worship that which is divine, to love that which is human; she has told us that with the gods lies dominion, and among men, fellowship. This fellowship remained unspoiled for a long time, until avarice tore the community asunder and became the cause of poverty, even in the case of those whom she herself had most enriched. For men cease to possess all things the moment they desire all things for their own.”

Superstition is a belief in the mind, an ideology, while religion is the performance of a duty and pure Religion is the performance of that duty unspotted by the men and means of the world who exercise authority.

A New cult
A cult included the doing and performing of tasks, duties and obligations.

Cicero explained ‘Those who rehandled (retractarent) diligently and so to speak relegerent all the things which relate to the worship of the gods, were called religiosi from relegere, like elegantes from eligere and diligentes from diligere. All these words have in fact the same sense of legere as religiosus.’

Suetonius can speak of 'Christians' as members of a new cult that was doing contrary to the Imperial Cult of Rome. Those who had become accustomed to funding their temples with the immoral practices forcing the contributions of others, counted as strangers, so that some could continue to live at the expense of others had their conscience seared.

Public Cults
Romans, like the first Americans, in their early history, in their youth as a nation had considered taxing others for their personal benefit or gain as an immoral practice.

In the days of the Libera res publica of early Rome there was no Imperial Cult of Rome but there was social virtues and the “Summum Bonum”.

Polybius had, centuries earlier, warned Rome and us of the consequences to the masses who engage in such covetous practices. Plutarch had also warned that those benefits and dainties destroy liberty. David, Paul, all the Prophets to say nothing of Proverbs explained that such systems of social welfare would be a snare.

Jesus said such covetous systems like the Corban of Herod and the pharisees made the word of God to none effect.

Suetonius, Tacitus, FDR, and modern Christians did not or do not see that those benefits were and are not only the wages of unrighteousness but they erode the social bonds required to maintain freedom and even their liberties.
Was in the Navy 4 years as Boiler Technician/Search and Rescue Swimmer. After the Navy, I studied nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for about 30 years. Things changed in the medical field in 2020, and I left nursing to be a farmer. I now live in Matheson Colorado with my wife and daughter. My life has been full of ups and downs and since I can remember I always spoke to God, just didn’t know who He was. Searched out far and wide to find Him, but never understood the Way. I was so concerned trying to save myself and those close to me, I was deceived. Never thought waiting for God and learning what He wants of me would bring me closer as I walk in His ways. I don’t have all the answers, but God does, and I would like to make myself available to walk this journey with others in a Network of free assemblies gathering together, working in His Kingdom. My name is Steven Michael Sedillo, I grew up in California just outside of Los Angles to a Spanish father and Norwegian mother. I was raised in a Catholic home and I attended Latin masses with my grandparents. I attended public schools from my youth all the way up to and including college. Was in the Navy 4 years as Boiler Technician/Search and Rescue Swimmer. After the Navy I studied nursing and worked as Registered Nurse for about 30 years. Things changed in the medical field in 2020 and I left nursing to be a farmer. I now live in Matheson Colorado with my wife and daughter. My life has been full of ups and downs and since I can remember I always spoke to God, just didn’t know who He was. Searched out far and wide to find Him but never understood the Way. I was so concerned trying to save myself and those close to me I was deceived. Never thought waiting for God and learning what He wants of me would bring me closer as I walk in His ways. I don’t have all the answers but God does and I would like to make myself available to walk this journey with others in a Network of free assemblies gathering together, working in His Kingdom. Just come and see, the purpose of the HHC Google Groups is that we do this together and strengthen one another. I look forward to meeting you. Peace on your house.
