“There is no worse tyranny than to force a man to pay for what he does not want merely because you think it would be good for him.” ― Robert A. Heinlein

“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.” ― Abraham Lincoln

Politicians as a class are dangerous, that people who are seeking power over us are not, by definition, our friends. James Bovard

Not necessity, not desire - no, the love of power is the demon of men. Let them have everything - health, food, a place to live, entertainment - they are and remain unhappy and low-spirited: for the demon waits and waits and will be satisfied. Friedrich Nietzsche

“The measure of a man is what he does with power.” ― Plato Marxism is a political and economic way of organizing society, where the workers own the means of production. Socialism is a way of organizing a society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the proletariat. Marx proposed that this was the next necessary step in the progress of history.

To say Marxism "evolved" is like saying a cancer evolved. Man is an individual product of creation, and a singular means of production of creation with a natural right to choose. But as a human, and a member of mankind, he must care about his fellowman's rights as much as his own.

Marx summarized his philosophy in the simple phrase: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.” The question remaims who decides the “from” and who should decide the legitimacy of a “need”? Since, “Freedom is the Right to Choose, the Right to create for oneself the alternatives of Choice. Without the possibility of Choice, and the exercise of Choice, a man is not a man but a member, an instrument, a thing”, then you cannot have Marxism unless you take choice from the individual, making the man less a person and more a thing.

“Freedom is the Right to Choose, the Right to create for oneself the alternatives of Choice. Without the possibility of Choice, and the exercise of Choice, a man is not a man but a member, an instrument, a thing” Archibald MacLeish

Marxism by its nature is the end of the natural right to choose and freedom itself. In Marxism man becomes an instrument, a thing and little more than a means of production and a resource.

It is bad enough in the nature of Marxism a man looses his liberty but in his desire to benefit at his comrades expense he also forfeits his soul with the loss of his humanity.

Marxism by its nature must take some of the power of choice away from the individual as we can see in the summary of the ideology, “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”Man in his natural state may live by, “From each according to his ability and his free choice, to each according to his needs according to love and mercy of the individual.”

But the soul renounced shall abide in the boundlessness of God's life. This is liberty, this is prosperity. The more we lose, the more we gain. - Watchman Nee

God grants liberty only to those who love it, and are always ready to guard and defend it. - Daniel Webster

We dare not exercise personal liberty if it infringes on the liberty of others because as we judge so shall we be judged.

By contrast, socialism in theory is based on the idea that people will be compensated based on their level of individual contribution to the economy.

Socialism as a noun is defined as a, "political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole." No one has freedom to do with their own what they will under socialism except by license or permission. Socialism will seem to work for a time among a docile and timid or reoccuied and distracted people but it takes away an essential element of the personal responsibility of choice. That power of choice, also called liberty, will be decided by the state because the people relinquish their right to choose to the state, the party, or the mob. Free societies care for the needy through charity. Originally that was the purpose of religion. When a society resorts to force with what has been called "legal charity" or "public religion" the people of society and their thinking begins to be altered. Socialism is the religion you get when you have no "religion" as it was once defined. Without an abundance of charity practiced by the people there is decay in the morality of the people. One of the first things you will is decline of the middle class as it is squeased, then an over extending of the finances of the people and in banking, followed by family breakdown, lower birth rates and a rise in community isolation. The people are steadily changed through the covetous practices as personal policy becomes customary politics. This leads the people down a selfish road void of voluntary sacrifice until they degenrate into such a weakened state of morality and morale that they are unable to weather a crises in their society without allowing, if not ushering in, waves of unbridled political power and tyranny.

Man has always had social issues and will continue to have them. As a human, and a member of mankind, men must care about their fellowman and their liberties and individual right to choose as much as they care about their own rights. Without the daily exercise of choice through volunteerism and charity that which makes man a man will diminish as it has always done the out his history. The daily exercise of power over our fellow man will tempt eveey leader or lawmaker to become a tyrant or a despot. This has always been the fate of nations wh excuse the biting of one another as long as they do it through government.

Socialism means that the hardest working people as a class get exploited by not so hard working class and also by the government. That's why the people in socialist countries like Scandinavia, Finland, Austria become "accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others... institute the rule of violence;" according to Polybius 150 years before Christ. What he was talking about was the dependence upon welfare funded by taxation instead of charity. Polybius continued his warning with what became the prophesying of Rome's degeneration from a republic into tyranny, "and now uniting their forces massacre, banish, and plunder, until they degenerate again into perfect savages and find once more a master and monarch." http://preparingyou.com/wiki/Polybiust

A major principle repeated by all the prophets and Christ was not to covet anything that is your neighbors. http://preparingyou.com/wiki/Covetous_practices

Jesus forbid His followers to make the governments of the world and rulers of the State our benefactor. http://preparingyou.com/wiki/Benefactors

Peter warned us that such covetous policies of the people would make us merchandise and curse children. http://www.preparingyou.com/wiki/Merchandise

Everyone in many countries are automatically considered organ donors. That would mean they are human resource and nothing more than merchandise in the eyes of their law makers. http://www.preparingyou.com/wiki/Merchandise

Under socialism the moral conflict of living your dream is always at someone else's expense. Those dreams will eventually become a nightmare for the character and moral integrity of society as a collective.

Nothing is free in this cause and effect universe. Everything will be paid for one way or another in the course of time.

Those who think otherwise are blind guides.

Everyone who could make the grade in America had access to free education a 160+ years ago. It was written into the charter of almost every major college. That was provided for the people, by the charity of the people. In fact all social welfare was provided by charity rather than the force of corporate government. This was the secret of our success as a nation. It was not the constitution nor the government created by it. Americans were bound by faith, hope, and charity rather than by force, fear, and fealty.

Almost all the social and moral problems in America can be traced to our straying from that social formula of public welfare through the oppretion of one group of society for the benefit of another. http://www.preparingyou.com/wiki/David_Crockett
