Saint Paul the Apostle of Jesus the Christ writes lengthy letters to the saints and people gathering in free assemblies at Corinth.
The Chapter divisions and modern interpretations can divide our thinking away from the simplicity of the Gospel of the kingdom.
The theme of the Bible has been to set man free from the bondage of the world so that he might live as a free soul under the God of heaven rather than the gods many of the world, the fathers of the earth, or the men who call themselves benefactors but who exercise authority one over the other.
We know that we were to make no covenants with those gods many nor eat at their table for the wages of unrighteousness they served were deceitful meats and was a snare.
We should all know that being slothful in the ways of charity would bring the people under tribute and any covetous practices would not only make them merchandise but would curse children.
Paul the Apostle was writing men and women of Corinth by way of the saints of the called out who ministered the people in free assemblies of Tens as commanded by Christ.
Those early Christians living by faith, hope and charity, with the help of the saints, who lived in the world but not of it, did not think or act like Modern Christians. They had repented from what they had once thought and had begun the process by seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness by living according to The Way.
